Fairies
dance round as she sleeps through the night
Her presence a gift to the fairies delight
She wandered the forest alone in the dark
And fell asleep neath the moon with a weary
heart
They
found her asleep neath a canopy of trees
Covered with ivy and flowers and leaves
The stars twinkled brightly as they peered
down below
The light from the moon made her face all
aglow

Never
before had they seen such a sight
A woman in human form with a light that
shone bright
They marveled at her beauty and her flaming
red hair
And a mark that distinquished her as one
of theirs
They
guarded her silently thoughout the long
night
Touching her softly they covered her with
light
Safe in the forest, she slept with great
peace
Oblivious to the fairies that guarded her
sleep
